HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Pole vaulter Adam Stavash set a new Hasbrouck Heights school record in the pole vault, clearing 14 feet 6 inches on Saturday afternoon, en route to capturing  the Group 1 state title in the pole vault. It is the third time this year that Stavash has raised the mark for the best jump in school’s history.

In winning the high jump, he will advance to this weekend's NJSIAA Meet of Champions, where his 14 feet, 6 inch mark has his ranked third in the state.  He also qualified for the 2019 Penn Relays, as the jump surpassed the meet’s minimum jump to enter.

For these accomplishments, Adam Stavash is this week TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro Athlete of the Week.
