WOOD-RIDGE,  NJ - For the second straight year, Wood-Ridge High School’s Bradley Mika has advanced in the NJSIAA wrestling tournament to the Regionals, this time capturing the gold in the 170 pound weight class held on Saturday in Morristown.  For his accomplishment, he is the TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro Athlete of the Week.

Mika went 4-0 in capturing the gold, the first sectional championship since the Wood-Ridge wrestling program split away from Hasbrouck Heights.  Last year, Mika finished third in becoming the first wrestler to qualify for the regionals since the split.

"It is an amazing turn around for a year ago," said Wood-Ridge Head Wrestling Coach TJ Kroncke. " He put in the work, did the extras, and changed his attitude to make himself a champion.
