HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Talk about stepping up and knocking one in. 

Entering the starting lineup just days before, Hasbrouck Heights varsity basketball player Jared Beerman broke a 20-year old record by hitting 12-three points shots in Hasbrouck Heights dominating 89-38 win over Palisades Park in the Hasbrouck Heights South Bergen Holiday tournament last Thursday.   

Beerman's 12 three-pointers broke the record for three-pointers in one game that had been held by current Hasbrouck Heights coach Mike Cebula, who had knocked in 11 against Secaucus in 1998,

Beerman followed that outing up with 18 points, including two three-pointers, in the finale, as Hasbrouck Heights beat Rutherford 63-48 to capture the crown.  

The 58-point outburst brought the senior guard's scoring average to 11.7 points per game on the season for the 5-0 Aviators.
