WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Natalie Cala averaged 17 points per game, as Wood-Ridge High School girls basketball team went 2-0 during the week en route to being named TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro Athlete of the Week for the week of January 6 -12.   Cala nailed eight three pointers in helping keep the Lady Blue Devils in a tie for second place in the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Meadowlands Division. Wood-Ridge is 5-1, 5-5, having played a strong non-divisional schedule. 

Cala scored 18 in a 55-30 victory over Wallington on Tuesday, and came back with 16 against Becton in a 60-20 win on Thursday.  Cala made three three- pointers against Wallington and five against Becton, and has 29 three-pointers on the season.  She is averaging a team high 12.9 points per game.
