TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of presumptive positive cases of novel coronavirus and deaths at his Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Murphy announced that every veteran at the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home has been tested for COVID-19. And they will be doing the same at veterans homes in Menlo Park and Vineland. 

"Our veterans deserve nothing less," he said.

There are 3,643 new cases with 379 new deaths. Statewide, there are 92,387 positive cases and 4,753 deaths. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 13,286 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 noon Tuesday. Locally, Hasbrouck Heights has 156 cases, Wood-Ridge 107 cases, and Teterboro 3 cases. Hackensack continues to lead the county with 970 cases, according to Tedesco.

Bergen County continues to lead the state in cases with 13,356, and followed by Hudson (11,636), Essex (11,128), Union (10,289), Passaic (8,941 and Middlesex (8,767), with 599 under investigation.  There are a total of 835 deaths in Bergen County.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, there were 7,594 people hospitalized with COVID-19 or under investigation, with 1,930 patients in ICU or critical care, and 1,501 patients on ventilators. There were 630 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours.

The two Medical Field Stations, in Secaucus and Edison, are treating 72 patients.  Earlier in the day, Murphy and others in the administrations' task force toured the third Field Medical Station at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

A total of 167,323 tests have been administered, with 74,884 testing positive, a 44.75% positive rate, a rate that Persichilli noted has "stayed stable for quite some time."
