HACKENSACK, NJ - Current and aspiring small business owners are invited to take part in a free four-part certificate program designed to help entrepreneurs learn about resources they may not otherwise not have access to in order to take their business idea from dream to reality or grow their existing business.
Hosted by 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union and Greater Bergen Community Action (GBCA) Financial and Housing Counseling Program, in partnership with America’s Small Business Development Center of New Jersey, the program begins on Tuesday, June 5, and will run for four consecutive Tuesdays.
The program, designed for median income individuals looking for guidance on how to actualize their business ideas or to increase the success of their existing business, will be two hours each night, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and be held at 316 State Street, Hackensack.
Vince Vicari, Regional Director of America’s Small Business Development Center of New Jersey, will teach the class with topics including figuring out whether you are really ready to own a business, how to prepare yourself and your finances for starting a business, writing a business plan including by providing free software to help create the document that many consider the key to any successful business.
According to the organizers 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union and Greater Bergen Community Action are partnering to provide free small business workshops as part of their work to build more sustainable families, community institutions, and neighborhoods, and to empower and strengthen individuals.
