HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Ralph's Famous Italian Ices and Ice Cream celebrated with its grand opening and ribbon cutting along with members of the Hasbrouck Heights Borough Council, Chamber of Commerce, owners, friends, family, and employees on a sunny Saturday morning.

Those in attendance included members of the Hasbrouck Heights Borough Council, Mayor Jack DeLorenzo, Councilmen Ron Kistner and Steven Reyngoudt, who were joined by Hasbrouck Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce Board members Ray Vorisek and Dave Meredith. The owner Francisco Vegas was joined by his wife, children, and employees. 

The shop is oprated by Francisco Vega who had previously worked at Ralph's in their New Brunswick facility for 20 years.

"I found this town and I said 'This town is so beautiful,'" said Vega. "This is a perfect place to put it."

Vega signed the paperwork on his new shop in January and had his soft opening two weeks ago. The previous site of a physical therapy office, he had to retrofit the space by moving walls and installing new flooring.

Ralph's Ices offers ices, ice cream, and cream ice (which is similar to sherbet) along with shakes, milkshakes, smoothies, and sundaes in 75 flavors. It will be open seven days a week, from 12 noon to 9 or 9:30pm.

Ralph's Famous Ices is located at 239 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights.
