WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Wood-Ridge resident Aida Castro was recently appointed Assistant Vice President / Retail Relationship Manager for Kearny Bank’s Wood-Ridge location. In her new role, Castro leads all aspects of sales and business development, while coaching and mentoring office staff.
Castro’s more than three decades of banking industry experience were recognized in 2019 by a certificate from the New Jersey Bankers Association. A graduate of the American Institute of Banking, Castro is bilingual.
Originally from Paterson, she is a member of the Wood-Ridge Fire Department's Women's Auxiliary, where her fiancé, Gilbert Ruiz, is a volunteer fireman.
"I'm looking forward to working with the community," said Castro, who looks forward to getting more involved.
Castro has conducted educational presentations on topics that include home mortgages, business lending, fraud security, and saving money. An executive board member of the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the Secaucus Rotary and the Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce, Castro also serves as a volunteer for the Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen, and Eva’s Village.
