TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of presumptive positive cases of novel coronavirus and deaths at his Saturday afternoon press conference, where he also announced additional details on the death of a 4-year old.

There are 1,759 new cases with 166 new deaths. Statewide, there are 137,085 positive cases and 9,116 deaths. 

There are 35 patients in the two remaining Field Medical Stations, in Edison and Atlantic City. The Meadowlands location will close over the weekend, and the staff will relocate to East Orange General Hospital, Murphy announced on Friday.

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 16,863 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 noon Saturday. Locally, Hasbrouck Heights has 194 cases, Wood-Ridge 135 cases, and Teterboro 6 cases. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County continues to lead the state in cases with 16,804, and followed by Hudson (16,675), Essex (15,365), Passaic (14,428), Union (13,984), and Middlesex (13,759), with 557 under investigation.  Bergen County has a total of 1,348, while Essex County continues to have the highest number of deaths with 1,414.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, there were 4,628 people hospitalized with COVID-19 or under investigation, while 1,416 patients are in ICU or critical care, and 1,054 patients on ventilators. There were 422 patients were discharged from hospitals and 364 new admissions in the last 24 hours, and Murphy noted that "we continue to see more patients leaving the hospital than entering." But he also noted, while "we're making a lot of progress...we're not out of the woods yet," pointing to the 364 people who were admitted to hospitals with COVID-19.

A total of 273,375 tests have been administered, with 105,254 testing positive, a 38.7% positive rate.
