5TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths from around the state at his Monday press conference where he also announced the guidance for the return of youth sports and a new directive requiring New Jersey's law enforcement agencies to reveal the names of cops who have been reprimanded or fired.

There are 274 new cases with 52 new deaths. Statewide, there are 167,103 positive cases and 12,676 deaths. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 18,877 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Monday. According to Tedesco, local cases remain the same as Hasbrouck Heights has 210 cases, Wood-Ridge has 147 cases, and Teterboro has 6 cases.

Bergen County has the most in cases in the state with 18,848, and followed by Hudson (18,765), Essex (18,375), Passaic (16,649), and Middlesex (16,458), with 651 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,664 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,751, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, Murphy said there were 1,351 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, with 402 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 267 patients on ventilators. Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli noted that ventilator use was at the lowest percentage to date at 66%.

There were 107 discharges and 74 new hospital admissions, a number Murphy said reflected incomplete data from central Jersey.
