TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state at his Monday afternoon press briefing, where Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli warned about a possible, "twin-demic" this fall, urging residents to get their flu shots.
In New Jersey, there were 346 new cases reported, with three new deaths. Statewide, there are 196,968 positive cases and 14,245 deaths, and 1,789 probable COVID-19 fatalities.
According to Murphy, Bergen County has 21,995 positive cases, and followed by Essex (20,669), Hudson (20,385), Middlesex (18,870), Passaic (18,673) with 313 under investigation.
As of 10 p.m. Sunday, there were 420 people hospitalized, 216 who tested positive and 204 under investigation. There were 91 patients in ICU and 41 on ventilators.
