TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state at his Monday afternoon press conference where he also reduced caps on indoor gatherings due to the doubling of the rate of transmission within the last month.

In New Jersey, there were 264 new cases reported, with 10 new deaths. Statewide, there are 182,614 positive cases and 13,971 deaths, and 1,875 probable COVID-19 deaths. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,552 positive cases, and followed by Essex (19,558), Hudson (19,528), Middlesex (17,735), and Passaic (17,507) with 672 under investigation.

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, Murphy noted there were 738 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19. There are 144 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 49 patients on ventilators, according to the governor.
