TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state at his Monday afternoon press conference where he also urged the state's youth and their parents to protect public health by not holding secret indoor parties and other large indoor gatherings, citing large house party in Jackson which had 700 people in attendance over the weekend.

In New Jersey, there were 446 new cases reported, with 17 new deaths. Statewide, there are 179,812 positive cases and 13,884 deaths, and 1,920 probable COVID-19 deaths. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,280 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,387), Essex (19,335), Middlesex (17,557), and Passaic (17,327) with 701 under investigation.

As of 10 p.m. Sunday, Murphy noted there were 695 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19. There are 128 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 54 patients on ventilators, according to the governor.
