TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of presumptive positive cases of novel coronavirus and deaths at his Saturday afternoon press conference.

There are 3,457 new cases with 248 new deaths. Statewide, there are 105,523 positive cases and 5,863 deaths. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 14,683 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 noon Saturday. Locally, Hasbrouck Heights has 167 cases, Wood-Ridge 113 cases, and Teterboro 3 cases. Hackensack continues to lead the county with 1,061 cases, according to Tedesco.

Bergen County continues to lead the state in cases with 14,738, and followed by Hudson (13,367), Essex (12,520), Union (11,523), and Passaic (10,738) with 557 under investigation.  There are a total of 954 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County continues to lead the state with 1,019.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, there were 6,722 people hospitalized with COVID-19 or under investigation, with 1,971 patients in ICU or critical care, and 1,442 patients on ventilators. There were 561 new hospitalizations, while 686 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.

A total of 191,813 tests have been administered, with 83,650 testing positive, a 43.61% positive rate.
