TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy did not hold a press conference on Saturday but did release the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state. 

In New Jersey, there were 309 new cases reported, with 16 new deaths. Statewide, there are 176,814 positive cases and 13,725 deaths, and 1,974 probable COVID-19 deaths.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 19,979 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,261), Essex (19,105), Middlesex (17,174), and Passaic (17,167) with 666 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,766 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,838, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, Murphy noted there were 800 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, with 141 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 73 patients on ventilators.
