TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths from around the state during his Thursday afternoon press conference where he announced that the indoor portions of retail shopping malls may reopen on Monday, June 29, along with the mandatory guidelines for shoppers and employees.

There are 442 new cases with 38 new deaths. Statewide, there are 168,107 positive cases and 12,800 deaths. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 18,952 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Thursday. According to Tedesco, Hasbrouck Heights has 210 cases, Wood-Ridge has 146 cases, and Teterboro has 6 cases.

Bergen County has the most in cases in the state with 18,949, and followed by Hudson (18,753), Essex (18,499), Passaic (16,706), and Middlesex (16,547), with 683 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,68 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,753, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, Murphy reported with were 1,268 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, with 319 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 257 patients on ventilators. There were 134 discharges and 73 new hospital admissions, according to the governor.
