TRENTON, NJ - Even though there was no daily briefing, Governor Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state Thursday. 

In New Jersey, there were 344 new cases reported, with 23 new deaths. Statewide, there are 177,887 positive cases and 13,810 deaths, and 1,920 probable COVID-19 deaths. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,133 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,289), Essex (19,198), Middlesex (17,442), and Passaic (17,214) with 671 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,771 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,847.

As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, Murphy noted there were 869 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19. There are 152 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 73 patients on ventilators, according to the governor.
