TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the newest number of positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths from around the state on Thursday. 

In New Jersey, there are 354 new cases with 28 new deaths. Statewide, there are 174,270 positive cases and 13,501 deaths, and 1947 probably COVID deaths.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 19,771 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,037), Essex (18,928), Passaic (17,000), and Middlesex (16,952), with 665 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,748 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,811, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, Murphy noted there were 963 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, with 170 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 104 patients on ventilators. There were 92 live patients discharges from the hospital.
