TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the newest number of presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 and deaths from around the state at his Tuesday afternoon press conference where he also announced the guidelines for municipal pools and private swim clubs and increase the limit on outdoor gatherings and houses of worship.

There are 375 new cases with 91 new deaths. Statewide, there are 164,796 positive cases and 12,303 deaths. 

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 18,653 presumptive positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Monday. According to Tedesco, locally Hasbrouck Heights has 209 cases, Wood-Ridge's 143 cases, and Teterboro has 6 cases.

Hudson County has the most in cases in the state with 18,607, and followed by Bergen (18,573), Essex (18,151), Passaic (16,492), Union (16,302), with 680 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,628 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County continues to lead the state with 1,722, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, there were 1,736 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19, the sixth consecutive days below 2000, according to Murphy, with 510 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 373 patients on ventilators. There were 84 new hospital admissions due to COVID-19, while 80 patients were discharged from the hospital.
