TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy released the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state on Tuesday. While he did not hold a COVD press briefing, Murphy did hold a press conference announcing an additional $15 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding has been made available to the NJEDA’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program.

In New Jersey, there were 565 new cases reported, with 24 new deaths. Statewide, there are 180,295 positive cases and 13,905 deaths, and 1,920 probable COVID-19 deaths.

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 20,395 positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Tuesday. According to Tedesco, Hasbrouck Heights has 221 cases, Wood-Ridge has 155 cases, and Teterboro has 5 cases.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,341 positive cases, and followed by Hudson (19,399), Essex (19,376), Middlesex (17,580), Passaic (17,348) with 680 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,783 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,856, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, Murphy noted there were 718 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19. There are 112 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 50 patients on ventilators, per the governor.
