TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state during his Tuesday press conference where he also discussed the state's upcoming public awareness campaign about testing, contract tracing and risky behavior.

In New Jersey, there were 378 new cases reported, with 8 new deaths. Statewide, there are 183,327 positive cases and 13,989 deaths, and 1,853 probable COVID-19 deaths. 

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,639 positive cases, and followed by Essex (19,611), Hudson (19,564), Middlesex (17,798), and Passaic (17,550) with 640 under investigation.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, Murphy noted there were 784 patients in the hospital being treated for COVID-19. There are 117 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 47 patients on ventilators, according to the governor.
