WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - All graduating high school seniors who are residents of Wood-Ridge are eligible for a scholarship from the Wood-Ridge Memorial Foundation. An estimated $50,000.00 will be awarded this year to graduates of Wood-Ridge High School, area Catholic high schools and the Bergen County Academies.

Applications have been sent to all of the schools and should have been distributed in early March. Deadline for applications is April 17. Applications are available online or at Kearny Bank by contacting Mary Tomat.

Wood-Ridge High School seniors should follow the instructions of returning the applications from Ms. Jane Currie. Graduates of the Catholic high schools or Bergen County Academies may drop off their application at Kearny Bank (at the drive thru window.)

The application requires a transcript from the school. If this is not possible because of the current medical crisis that the country is in, please furnish any documentation you can regarding grades, activities, etc. that will help the judges in reviewing your qualifications.

"The Trustees of the Wood-Ridge Memorial Foundation understand the disappointment you had to endure with missing out on the many final senior moments you will be missing. We wish you all good health and continued success as you enter your college years," stated Wood-Ridge Memorial Fund Executive Director Jack Nagel.
