HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights residents who are looking to contribute during the coronavirus crisis can help the Hasbrouck Heights Food Pantry.

According to Director of Recreation Rob Brady, they are currently accepting non-perishable donations for the food pantry, as it continues to provide for the underserved in the community. Immediate needs include:

  • Pasta and jarred sauce;
  • Peanut butter and jelly;
  • Canned goods;
  • Macaroni and cheese;
  • Cereal and oatmeal;
  • Personal toiletries, including toothpaste and toothbrushes, and deodorant;
  • Cleaning supplies including laundry detergent, and household cleaners;
  • Paper products, including napkins, paper towels, and tissues, and
  • Grocery store gifts cards in $10 increments.

Since Borough Hall is closed to the community, residents can call or email Brady to schedule a drop off for donations. Bring the bags to back door of Borough Hall. Once the bags are accepted, the bags are put in a quarantine area for several days, before being redistributed to the public.
