WOOD-RIDGE, NJ -- The fifth annual Taste of Hasbrouck Heights and Friends was held Wednesday night, sponsored by the Hasbrouck Heights Friends of the Free Public Library in partnership with the Hasbrouck Heights Chamber of Commerce. It was the first year the event was hosted at The Fiesta in Wood-Ridge. Foodies could sample signature dishes from 30 eateries from the surrounding towns, including Wood-Ridge, Teterboro, Maywood, East Rutherford, and Hasbrouck Heights.
“This evening is about community,” said Mimi Hui, Hasbrouck Heights Library Director, and event coordinator.
The event offered a range of dishes including Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, Chinese, Thai, Southwest and American classics. People saved room for coffee and dessert. In addition, there was a 50/50 and over 50 gifts in a tricky tray raffle.
