HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Borough of Hasbrouck Heights Council approved a resolution accepting the bid of D & L Paving Contractors for a street paving project that had been previously approved for Myers, Pasadena and Charlton Avenues.   

The resolution directs Neglia Engineering, Habsrouck Heights Borough Engineer, to prepare the contract for signature for the town and the contractor, in the amount of $208,7812.95.

Additionally, the borough rejected the only bid it received for the Woodland Park Safety Surface, as the bid amount of $342,500 on funding constraints.

As part of the consent agenda the Council approved the following three resolutions.

147. Raffle License for Friends of the Hasbrouck Heights Library

148  Authorized Re-Appointment of a Class III Special Law Enforcement Officer Barry Feinberg

150. Entered in a revocable license agreement with PSEG for the temporary use of the the most easterly end of Williams Avenue so that PSEG can continue work on a substation located along Williams Avenue.  The term of the agreement is scheduled to run from October 1, 2019 through April 30, 2021. There is the potential of a maximum extension of six months. PSEG will pay the Borough $2,000 per month as part of this agreement. 

The Council also passed, on Final and Public Hearing, an ordinance to amend Chapter 142 of the Borough Code, entitled “Flood Hazard Areas” and enact in its place a new Chapter 142,entitled “Flood Damage Prevention” in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection adopted on July 9, 2019.
