After the meeting was called to order, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited, Mayor DeLorenzo asked for a moment of silence to honor two former Hasbrouck Heights government officials who had passed away in recent days.

Former Councilman John Wassberg passed away on September 19, while former long-time Borough Clerk Louise Davenport passed on September 23.  During the meeting, Councilman Justin DiPisa shared a remembrance of Councilman Wassberg, who also worked for Bergen County, running the Division of Weights and Measures.

Mayor DeLorenzo, current Borough Administrator Michael Kronyak, Councilman Ron Kistner and former Mayor Rose Heck also at various times during the meeting spoke of their interactions with Davenport. Davenport was one of the first female Borough Administrators in Bergen County, and stayed active in the community after her retirement.
