HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - As the tax collection window at Borough Hall is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hasbrouck Heights has installed a lock box outside the back door of city hall where payments can be made. The box is checked for payments multiple times a day and on weekends, and is under video surveillance for security reasons.

For Residents who wish to drop off payments at the Borough Hall, they can only be left in the drop box located at the rear entrance of the municipal building by the parking lot. The drop box is located on the left side of the double doors. Please include the Tax Collectors Stub from the tax bill in an envelope with payment in the form of a personal check, bank check or a money order, payable to the "Borough of Hasbrouck Heights." Do not place cash in the drop box.

1) Mail a personal check, bank check or a money order, payable to the “Borough of Hasbrouck Heights" to the Hasbrouck Heights Tax Office, 320 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604.

Please include the Tax Collectors Stub from the tax bill with your payment. Also, please write the property address and block and lot number in the memo section of the check or money order. Do not mail cash. 

2) Most banks have an online bill pay application that can be used to pay taxes. If you use this application for other payments such as credit card balances or utility bills you can also use it to make your tax payment. As with traditional checks please enter the property address and block and lot number on your payment authorization. 

The Borough is in the process of updating our tax collection process to provide for online payment by credit card or e-check. Please check the borough website at hasbrouck-heightsnj.org for updates and status of online payment procedures.
