TETERBORO, NJ - The Teterboro Mayor and Council addressed three ordinances regarding construction projects in the borough during its monthly meeting on Tuesday night. The meeting was held via conference call.
The Council passed Ordinance 610 to authorize the purchase and installation of replacement valves and a ladder at the Route 46 DPW pump station in the amount of $30,000.
The Council introduced on first reading two additional ordinances. # 611 authorized the milling, resurfacing and construction of curbs and sidewalks on North Street, appropriating $600,000 from a New Jersey Department of Transportation Grant and the borough's Capital Improvement Fund.
A second ordinance, #612, authorized the milling, resurfacing and construction of curbs and sidewalks on Hollister Road, and appropriating the sum of $350,000 from a NJ DOT grant and the borough's Capital Improvement Fund. The second and final reading of the introduced ordinances will be heard at the July 14 meeting.
Councilman Greg Stein had noted that there had been damage to utility poles, signage and curbs by vehicles in the borough, and requested that cameras be installed to capture the incidents.
The Council also approved the following Consent Agenda items:
a. Approve Professional Appointments under Pay to Play’s Non-Fair and Open Process .

c. Approve By-Laws for the Governing Body.
d. Approve payment of School Funds for fiscal year, July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, to the Board of Education, Hasbrouck Heights, in the amount of $187,144.00
e. Approve Mayor Watt as representative to the Community Development Regional Committee and Nicholas C. Saros as his alternate.
f. Approve extension of contract with Bollinger Insurance regarding Prescription Plan until September 1, 2020
g. Approve State Contract Vendor, WW Graingers, Inc. Contract #19-FLEET-00677; expiration date 06/30/2023. .
h. Approve Outdoor Eating subject of the approval of the New Jersey Sports And Exposition Authority effective June 15th .
i. Approve the retention of Burgis Associates, Inc. regarding an Affordable Housing Plan.
j. Approve Share Service with Bergen County Utilities Authority commencing June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 for Solid Waste Services.
k Approve Valley Health Medical Group for alcohol and drug testing services.
l. Approve Alternate Public Defender, Robert Charles Metzdorf, Esq. of Park Ridge, NJ.
m. Approve the re-appointment of Ernest F. Del Guercio, Jr., CTA as Tax Assessor the Borough for a four (4) year term commencing July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2024
n.. Approve signing Grant Application and execute Grant Contract, with NJDOT for the Central Ave, and James E. Hanson Way Project.
o. Approve resolution to Confirm Endorsement Of 2020 Community Development Project
p. Approve NJDOT to update their regulation files of all existing bus stops locations along Route US 46 in the Borough of Teterboro, County of Bergen.
q. Approve amending Resolution #20-42 Adopting Resolution for Ordinance #609 Entitled “ AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE ACQUISITION OF A FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM / OIL WATER SEPARATOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DPW BUILDING AND TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $40,000.00 TO PAY THE COST THEREOF, IN THE BOROUGH OF TETERBORO, COUNTY OF BERGEN AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY.
