WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Three three ordinances were approved on first reading at Wednesday’s meeting of the Borough of Wood-Ridge Town Council. The meeting was run by Council President Catherine Cassidy, as Mayor Paul Sarlo had been excused.
All ordinances were approved unanimously.
Ordinance No 2019-8, amending Section 530-32, entitled Walls and Fences was amended to the following:
Section C: A wall or fence erected along the side lines from the rear line of a main structure to the rear property line and along said read property line and within such lines:
Shall need exceed six feet in height if said fence is made of vinyl, aluminum, wrought iron and/or wood and has architectural, decorative, ornamental and/or stylistic features.
Shall not exceed four feet in heights if fence is chain-link style fence.
Shall not be a solid wood “stockade” style fence regardless of its height.
Bond Ordinance 2019-09 authorized the undertaking of the 2019 road resurfacing program, and to appropriate $2,350,000 to pay the cost thereof, and to authorize the issuance of bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance of said bonds.
Capital Ordinance 2019-20 authorized the acquisition of new additional or replacement equipment, machinery and new automotive vehicles for the borough, appropriating $450,000 to be raised from capital surplus of the borough.
