WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - The Wood-Ridge Borough Council unanimously approved a pair of bond ordinances on second and final reading at their Wednesday meeting.
The Council approved a bond ordinance to fund the acquisition of a new additional or replacement equipment and machinery and new automotive vehicles for the use of the Borough of Wood-Ridge. The ordinance authorized the borough to spend up to $325,000 for this equipment, which includes an ambulance.
The second ordinance authorized the town to spend $825,000 to pay for improvements at Donna Ricker Memorial Field, for replacement of the bleachers and press box. It was noted at the last meeting that the current bleacher system was installed during the 1970s, and the press box needs to be replaced to be meet current standards.
Additionally, the Councils approved the following resolutions:
079-2020 Resolution approving amendment to the by-laws of the South Bergen Municipal Joint Insurance Fund
080-2020 Resolution approving change order 31 and final payment for the 2019 Drainage Improvements Project (Union and Jocelyn Avenue.)
081-2020 Resolution approving close of contact for the 2019 Drainage Improvement Project.
082- 2020 Resolution Extending Grace Period of 2nd Quarter taxes to June 1, 2020.
