WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - It was a quick meeting of the Borough of Wood-Ridge Council on Wednesday, with only routine business and one ordinance on second and final reading on the agenda.

The Council unanimously passed Ordinance 2019-11, which amends Chapter 288 entitled Flood Damage Prevention of the Borough Code.  The ordinance brought Wood-Ridge into line with new regulations mandated by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency concerning development in designated flood areas.

“Since we only have a small area on the other side of 17 which is a flood area, and it is already developed, it really has very little impact, “ said Wood-Ridge Mayor Paul Sarlo.
