WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - The Wood-Ridge Land Use Board approved an application for a variance, a bond ordinance and two additional ordinances at its meeting on June 9 in Borough Hall. Members appeared both in person and via video conference.
The Board approved the application of Alex Kouros, of Hill Street, in his application for a variance for a deck to be situated in his back yard. Due to the topography of his property, where the backyard slopes down, to have deck come off the first floor his house, he would exceed the four-foot maxim height for decks. After hearing testimony and seeing the plans, the Board passed unanimously.
The Board also passed unanimously the following:
- Bond Ordinance to authorize replacement of the synthetic track at Donne Ricker Memorial Field.
- Ordinance to amend the Wood-Ridge Code specifically Chapter 513 entitled vehicles and traffic.
- Ordinance to amend Chapter 530 of the Zoning Provisions of the Borough of Wood-Ridge. This primarily deals with homes set on 40-foot wide lots.
Borough Administrator Chris Eilert noted that the next Land Use Board Meeting, set for July 7, will not be held, as the New Jersey State Primaries will be held on July 7, and that Borough Hall is a polling place. He noted if there are any applications, a special meeting will be held, at a time to be set in the future.
