HILLSDALE, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights Dive Team finished the 2019 season as regular season champions of the Super Six Dive League with a 4-1 record, which they carried with them into the League Championships on Saturday morning at the Stonybrook Swim Club. Hasbrouck Heights finished second in the League Championships behind Crestwood Lake, despite having beat Crestwood Lake just a week earlier in the regular season .
The final season results were Hasbrouck Heights in first, followed by Saddle River Valley, Stonybrook, Paramus, Crestwood Lake, and Mahwah.
Unlike the regular season, scheduling divers was more strategic as only two boys and two girls were allowed to compete per age group. Cappadona said they "selected divers based on their record/performance throughout the regular season."
"Winning first in the league (regular season) for the second year in a row makes me very proud because it is accomplished by the work done all throughout the season by all divers, not just the ones present today," said head coach Lauren Cappadona. "I'm happy to be back to back!"
