HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- They were lined up outside the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club, even before its official season opening at 12 pm  on Saturday, May 25.

There was a brief opening ceremony, including Boy Scouts from Hasbrouck Heights Troop 17 raising the American flag, and leading members in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Board president Jennifer Ober welcomed everyone to the new year, and thanked the Board members for their assistance in preparing the pool and grounds for the day. She noted that Pete Baron, in particular, had undertaken several projects ahead of the re-opening. Then it was time for the children's celebratory first "jump" in the pool of the new season.

Also on display were the recently installed bricks from the fundraiser, which ring the walkway around the flagpole.
