HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- Towering nutcrackers standing at attention. Colossal candy canes. A window featuring Mr. and Mrs. Claus and reindeer. A tree all lit up with giant gifts and a rocking horse. These were some of "the favorite things" of the Mayor’s Committee on Community Celebrations in selecting the winners of the annual Hasbrouck Heights Holiday Decorating Contest.

"The Committee wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all those who took the time to decorate and make Hasbrouck Heights look spectacular this holiday season," said Laura Baker, chairperson. "There were so many great houses that it was hard for the committee to narrow the winners down to just a few. Please take some time over the holidays to tour our warm and beautiful community and take special note of the houses and commercial establishments listed below."

This year, lawn signs will be distributed to the winners in each category.
