HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Mayor’s Committee on Community Celebrations will be holding its annual Holiday Residential and Commercial Decorating Contest. The preliminary round of judging will be held Friday through Sunday, December 13 through 15.  The final round of judging will be held on Monday, December 16.

Multiple categories will be judged including:

  • Best General Display,
  • Best Decorated Window,
  • Best Decorated Tree,
  • Best Holiday Inflatables (Blowups), and
  • Holiday Lane (streets that contain the most decorated houses)

The Committee asks that all decorations be lit and clearly displayed from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. on those evenings so that all decorations may be properly evaluated.  It is also requested that your address be made clearly visible to the judging members. All residents and commercial establishments are encouraged to participate in the contest and help make our community look festive.
