HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- The youth athletes and coaches on the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club Swim and Dive Teams have been practicing for two weeks as their seasons begin this week. 

Returning as second-year head coach to the Dive Team is Lauren Cappadona. She will be assisted by Grace Tutelo.  There are a total of 38 divers, 19 new and 19 returning to the team, who range in age from five to 17. The team will again compete in the super Six Dive League. Last year the team finished  4-1 and took first place place in the league for the regular season and second place in the League Championship meet. They had four divers compete in the counties. They open the 2019 season on Friday, July 5 at home against Mahwah.

New head coach for the swim team is Nicole Toxtli. While she is new to the Hasbrouck Heights team, she swam competitively for six year on a club team and in high school. She will be assisted by Emily Condon, and Jacqueline Jera. There are a total of 60 swimmers, 20 new and 40 returning to the team, and range in age from five to 17 years old. The swim team will again compete in the Central Bergen League this year.

During home meets, the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club closes the pool early for the teams to warm up. It re-opens at the conclusion of the competition. Home meets are open to the public.
