HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The public is invited to participate in the annual Hasbrouck Heights Walk to help children with Deyslexia on Saturday, October 12 at Depken Field. Registration is at 9am; the walk begins at 10am. The event will go on rain or shine.
People can register and walk as individuals or as a team. Participants who register prior to the event will receive a commemorative t-shirt at registration.
The event will benefit the Children's Dyslexia Centers of New Jersey, and the Hasbrouck Heights Learning Center. The organization's mission is to "provide, free of charge, the highest quality multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services for children with dyslexia, through a network of nationally recognized centers of excellence; promote and encourage education of tutorial trainees, professionals, and the public, to become resources in teaching children to read; and advance the body of scientific knowledge of dyslexia through support of clinical research, to improve today's standards and tomorrow's care."
