HASBROUCK HEIGHTS/WOOD-RIDGE, NJ -- This weekend marking the opening of a new season for both Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge's Little League programs, celebrating with parades and opening day festivities.

In Wood-Ridge, Little Leaguer baseball and softball players will gather Sussex Road and Valley Boulevard and parade to the Sixth Street Field for opening day festivities. The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:30am. Following that, the focus shifts to the 14th Street Softball Field where the softball program will celebrate its opening day.

Hasbrouck Heights coaches and players will also open the season with a parade from the Municipal parking lot on Central Avenue to the Little League complex on Oldfield Avenue. Opening day ceremonies will include the cermonial first pitch and recognition of the 2018 Majors division champions.

On Sunday, Hasbrouck Heights Little League will host its annual Pancake Breakfast and Tricky Tray/Sport Memorabilia Auction at the Hasbrouck Heights VFW. Tickets are $5.  Breakfast will be served from 8am to 12noon. The tricky tray/auction will begin after breakfast.
