WOOD-RIDGE NJ  -- The high sun and blue skies greeted Wood-Ridge's second annual Town Day on Sunday, sponsored by the Mayor and Borough Council.

The event ran from 2 to 7 p.m. and offered activities for people of all ages, including food and drink from local businesses, and rides. Community organizations had tables to spread the word of their mission. 

A fundraiser for Project Graduation which included a dunk tank and featured various "dunkees" including Mayor Paul Sarlo, Board of Education president Albie Nieves, head football coach Charlie Trentacosti, head soccer coach Jerry Cala, Police Chief John Korin, and members of the Board of Education and Wood-Ridge Fire Department.

Logistical support was provided by the Wood-Ridge Police Department, Wood-Ridge Fire Department and EMS, and Department of Public Works.

The Nerds were the headline entertainment, who played two shows on the stage at Valley Boulevard and Wood-Ridge Avenue.
