HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Despite some early impressive performances, Woodcliff Lake prevailed over the Hasbrouck Heights 242-204, in a Bergen County Pool Managers Association Swim Meet on Monday night at the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club.

The Aviators started the meet out quickly, taking first place in all four individual medley races, with Harper Eddy capturing the girls 12U 100 IM, and Daniel Sickels capturing the boys 12U 100, to start the night. They were followed by Abigail Hernandez and Ryan Ng capturing their respective 13-17 200 IM, putting the Aviators up 23-11 after four races.

Woodcliff Lake regained the lead and control of the meet in Freestyle event, building a 65-59 lead through the event.  They continued to extend the lead in the Backstroke, stretching the lead to 120-94 through the backstroke.

Trailing 214-176 heading into the Freestyle Relays, the Aviators would have needed a clean sweep to catch the Lakers but came up short. The 15 to 17 year old relays were emblematic of the evening, as Woodcliff Lakes won two hotly contested races.
