WALDWICK, NJ -  The Hasbrouck Heights Swim Team picked up its first win of the year, defeating Waldwick, 190-154 in a weather shortened meet Wednesday night at the Waldwick Municipal Pool.  The meet was halfway through the Butterfly event, which is the final inidividual event of the meet, when a lightning warning was sounded.

The pool was cleared and grounds closed. With storms forecasted for the rest of the evening, and no lights on the pool, everyone was sent home.  Waldwick, which was trailing with no realistic chance to catch up due to a lack of teams in the relays, conceded the meet at that point.

The Aviators return to the pool on Wednesday, July 24, for the league championships at Mahwah.
