HASBROUCK HEIGHTS/WOOD-RIDGE -- Santa Claus is making an early December stop in Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge on Saturday, December 7.
Santa Claus' first stop is the Hasbrouck Heights Men's Association Christmas Tree Sale located on the corner of Franklin and Terrace Avenues. Santa will be available from noon to 3 p.m. for family photos with a backdrop of Christmas trees. No purchase is necessarily to visit with Santa.
The HHMA is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that raises money for college scholarships for graduating seniors, who are looking to further their education. The annual Christmas tree sale is one of the main fundraisers.Others include a spring golf outing in May and assistance with the Hasbrouck Heights 5K race. Santa's next stop will be at Kearny Bank in Wood-Ridge. He'll visit with children and families from 2 to 4 pm. Professional photos and holiday cards will be available to purchase, but no purchase is necessary to visit with Santa. Parents can bring their own camera/cellphone for pictures. Last year Santa visited with 50 children and a few four-legged friends.
The event is sponsored by the Hasbrouck Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Kearny Bank and iDesign Creative Services.
