TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy updated the latest presumptive positive cases of novel coronavirus as reported during his press conference with officials on Thursday afternoon.
State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli reported there were 2,492 new cases with 19 new deaths. Statewide, there are 6,876 positive cases and 81 deaths in total as of Wednesday, per the health commissioner.
Bergen County had 357 new cases and 2 new deaths. The county has a total of 1,206 positive cases, which continues to be the largest number in the state.
According to Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, as of Thursday night at 6 pm, 67 of the county's 70 municipalities have at least one case. There have been 20 deaths in the county. Teaneck has the largest number of cases in the county with 213.
Hasbrouck Heights has 16 and Wood-Ridge has 10 presumptive positive cases, according to Tedesco.
