TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy updated the latest presumptive positive cases of novel coronavirus as reported during his press conference with officials on Saturday.

State Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli reported there were 2,289 new cases with 32 new deaths. Statewide, there are 11,124 positive cases and 140 deaths in total as of Saturday, per the health commissioner. The age range for the deaths ranged from 30 years old to 100 years old, with 12 having underlying health conditions.

Bergen County had 250 new cases and 7 new deaths. The county has a total of 1,838 positive cases, which continues to be the largest number in the state. Essex County is second with 1,086.

According to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, Hasbrouck Heights has 25 cases, and Wood-Ridge 17. There have been 31 deaths in the county due to the coronavirus.

Tedesco announced that beginning Sunday, a  Bergen County drive-thru screening site will be open only for first responders and healthcare professionals who are symptomatic. He also closed all county parks until further notice to further enforce federal guidelines for social distancing.
