HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - A motor vehicle accident has closed Route 17 North just north of Franklin Avenue at the start of the afternoon commute.

The incident occured in front of the BP gas station. Hasbrouck Heights Police Department, Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department, Wood-Ridge Fire Department, and HUMC Paramedics were on the scene.

Local authorities were on the scene to free at least one person trapped. All injuries were "non-life threatening," according to Hasbrouck Heights Police Chief Michael Colaneri, Sr.
