HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - At the beginning of Tuesday's Hasbrouck Heights Borough Council meeting, Mayor Jack DeLorenzo asked for a moment of silence to recognize the passing of former Hasbrouck Heights High School Principal Tom King.

An educator from 1958 to 1991, King held many different positions in the district during his career.  An English teacher, he moved into administration, serving Hasbrouck Heights as an Assistant Principal, High School Principal and Acting Superintendent of Schools.

In 1988, he was voted the Administrator of the Year, and was inducted in the Hasbrouck Heights Hall of Fame for Academic Achievement in October 2004.
