LODI, NJ - Ryan Connelly limited Rutherford to one run in five innings, and Hasbrouck Heights exploded for 11 runs for an 11-1 win over Rutherford in the Babe Ruth District Tournament being held in Lodi.  Hasbrouck Heights is now 1-1 in the tournament with the win.

After a 1-2-3 inning from Connelly in the top of the first, Hasbrouck Heights jumped on Rutherford starter Cole Hebert for three runs in the bottom of the first.  Colin Garcia doubled to lead off the game with Ty VonSeidlemann following up with a single. Tommy Capozzi doubled, getting thrown out at third and Hasbrouck Heights had 2-0 lead three batters into the game.

Justin Wexler doubled and Kevin Campen picked up an RBI single to make the score 3-0 at the end of one inning.

Hasbrouck Heights tacked on two in the third and one of the fourth to increase the lead to 6-1, when they ended the game with five runs in the bottom of the fifth.
