HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -  It is time to vote once again.

Hasbrouck Heights’ Blake Freschi has been nominated for the "Fighting Spirit" Award sponsored by the United States Marine Corps.  The contest recognizes student-athletes who have overcome adversity or shown exceptional leadership skill and character.  Freschi is a finalist for the award.

Freschi is being recognized for overcoming adversity, having suffered a stroke during childbirth and lives with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.  He has played football since the age of five, starting with flag football, before moving into tackle.  He is also a member of the Hasbrouck Height wrestling and golf teams.

Freschi is also a finalist for the Heart of the Giant Award, having been the Week 2 winner earlier this season.
