HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ--  It was the highlight of the summer football practice before the team goes into its black-out week. The Hasbrouck Heights High School football team held its annual Ironman Contest on Thursday to determine who was the Strongest and Fastest Man.

The multi-event contest was open to all Aviator high school players, from incoming freshman through varsity. It tested players speed, strength, and agility. They were broken into two groups, Linemen and Skills players. The six events were:

40-yard dash
5-10-5 shuttle run
225-pound prowler (sled) push for 20 yards
125-pound sled pull for 25 yards
medicine ball toss, and
obstacle course, including a tire, medicine ball carry, rings, side hurdles, ladder, catch and run.

The event was coordinated by Assistant Coach Darren Iurato, a Hasbrouck Heights graduate and former Aviator quarterback and Assistant Coach Dmitri Forde, a former offensive lineman, and overseen by Offensive Coordinator Adam Baeira.

Speed Champ: John Sedlmeir

Iron Man Champ: Matteo Ochoa

Skill Positions

Strongman:  Michael Robertson

Speed Champ; Rocco Minichiello and Stephen Faussette

Iron Man Champ:  Spencer Lee
